can anyone help me with tabbing the HAT tabs for guitar?
especially Black stooges( i have almost firgured it out) and brain center?
the fool the meddling idiot would also be nice... :)

Dr. Gonzo

someone please tab the hat songs... and then, mxtabs.net them

klump

...or give em to brian :)

beee

i think i can tab most of hat, maybe tommorow some songs.

Anonymous

why put em at mxtabs? this is the best site around, brian deserves the scoop.

mobmob

hey - i tabbed dr. geek - it's here: http://www.themelvins.net/tabs/drgeek.txt
maybe i'll do brain center when i've got time spare

Brooklyns Finest PoonTang

the one that starts off the album.. and then appears in 2 other songs as well... what do you make of it? Could there possibly be any meanings (other than a cool beat)?

Ah, fuck it... I think I'm just talking out my butt...

but it is kinda wierd that it appears throughout the album. It's real subtle...

"its verry naiceccea!" (Holy Grail)

i've thought that it symbolizes how easy the music is for em.  during the keys part of the fool i thought he's saying "isn't this, isn't this simple"  and then the simple drum beat again.

or it could be that they're trying to show progression from easy drumbeats to black stooges to judas chongo to the culmination which is the fool, the meddling idiot.

damn h.a.t. is amazing

popeye

Definitely a Masterpiece work.  HAT.  That tour was quite a Show Too!

Binkard and Friends

its supposed to be a cliche punk drum beat to throw the listener off

Quote from: anacondaI think it was just a drum level take, but they liked it so much they kept it

but I also wanna say its totally funny that you should mention
this beat here Brooklyn's Finest... because I took it, sped it up and
reworked it with my friend Tim playing guitar samples and my voice
like about a week ago!!! check it

I was walking through richmond virginia, ats where i live and go to school, and i heard this middle school aged black marching band playing the same beat. I told some girl, but she didn't know and didn't care.

What is it with girls and the melvins?
Van Hagar

Ron Maiden

that's like 50% of the Melvins fan base.

Black Stooges was written as a tribute to a BIG fan club in Atlanta, GA whom the majority were, you guessed it, 13 year old black kids!

Those Melvins.
