It sounds very ambitious, but the above setting is just a rough planning of what we have in mind; nothing is certain.

As an old Chinese fisherman once said: if you don't know where you are going, there's a good chance you will end up somewhere else :D

. take a train south for 30minutes to a place called fremantle, and set up camp there.
No way, far too many Docker supporters!

As far as I'm concerned Melbourne is a must if visiting Australia. No, I don't live there.

Melbourne is on our wish list too, so:

Ok, that might be an idea. What are the real "musts" in Melbourne?

I reckon you should definitely do Fraser Island and the Whitsundays up in QLD if you have the time and money. Queensland is beautiful and is perfect if you like hot tropical weather and the beach. I'd also recommend a week in the Byron Bay area (Lennox head, brunswick heads or Byron).

Melbourne is ok. Lots of wannabe rockstar wankers though, you'll see what I'm talking about when u go there. God these people used to annoy me when I lived there. Musts in Melbourne are probably the Great Ocean Road down to the 12 apostles (a day trip out of Melb), hmm....   there are quite a few museums and art galleries if ur into it, during summer there are always festivals of some sort so it's always good to check out what's going on before you go there. Oh and the weather is horrible.

Never been to the west coast but I've only heard good things from people who've traveled there.

Why say no to drugs when you can say yes?

Thanks! I Really appriciate this. We want to do The Great Ocean Road by car. And about the weather; I'm a Dutchy, so I'm used to bad weather ;)

Yes Queensland has many beautiful places. I was fortunate to live there almost 3 years. Beaches are as nice as you can get. Fraser Island is a must see as is the Great Barrier Reef.  Snorkeling there was a million times better than the Caribbean.  And the water is nothing like I've ever seen before.

Melbourne is a very cool city.  As for being full of rockstar wannabes, I only saw Tim Rogers stumble out of a pub called The Perseverance on a Sunday morning around 1030am.  I thought that was pretty rock and roll, he slurred something to me as I walked passed.  Made me laugh at his state

Sweet! Melvins play a Sydney show too.  I'm gonna go to both Sydney and Melbourne shows.

I wonder if this will be "normal" Melvins. I wouldn't be too happy driving 5 hours to see a silly joke set.  :x

With an attitude like that, I advice you to stay home, and whine like a little girl.

I hope they will be playing CoD, for 3 hours long.

Melvins' dry spells can make a man desperate...haven't seen them in a long, long time.
