I got this for xmas and am really glad I got it. The artwork is excellent and it sounds to be one of the best live recordings I've heard of them. I still have most of that 3cd live Minneapolis set to listen to.

the bloat

Hmmmm.....so you probably haven't heard any of the other Melvins live stuff? I think this might be one of my least favorite Melvins releases with my favorite being 'Your Choice Live" series.  The sound is just all over the place and it seems sloppy. Just my opinion though. Yeah, the artwork is cool, though I wish there was more to it than just the one page...

I like that album, but believe me, there's tons of great boots out there with amazing quality.  Someone from this board, whoms name I temp. forget, recorded some audio for the 2006 shows, and they came out amazing.

i found it funny that they resorted to vocally impersonating the trombone on "Bar X - The Rocking M" instead of getting a real trombone. having never heard this song performed live elsewhere, i'm not sure if that's how they usually do it. if so, what a bunch of lazy assholes.

I bought this CD new at CD Universe like 5 yrs ago for $8.99. I can't believe what it goes for these days. It's a good disc, but yeah Your Choice Live blows it away. Gotta love the ZZ Top "Fandango" bits they borrowed.

I have heard what they have put out, and this is my favorite out of what I've heard. The songs and sound are great. If by "other melvins live stuff" you mean bootlegs, then no I haven't heard much. I do hope to get Your Choice Live as soon as I find it for a reasonable price yet.  Alive came from ebay for 28$.

I got this in san fran back in '97.  I thought it was a bootleg, it sounded so bad. but I do love the your choice cd. i've had that one for many years, maybe a first pressing!
