I Likee....whats the rest of the show like???
would love to have it (wink, wink)
"SwingSet you look like a bunch of guys I know in Ireland.  It's a particular  look I can't describe.  A sort of don't fuck with me or I'll kill you look.
I mean all this in the nicest possible way of course"

Pretty cool. But for reasons that I'm sure are purely practical, a live version of that song just can't touch the texture and dissonance of the album version.

Uncle Fester

electro retard or honky?
I favor the drumming and guitar on electroretard but love the bass on the honky version.

This tour they opened for Tool. I don't think there is a second guitarist. Maynard, before the set, introduces Melvins as Grungebucket where he only mentions the brothers Dale, Goober and Gary.

But yeah, this version is all about the drums and Kevin's bass. I miss Kevin. :(

The show is originally in Flac format (287mb)

Intro by MJK
1 - Ballad of Dwight Fry
2- Ballad Outro
3 - Eye Flys
4 - Lovely Butterfly
5 - Tipping The Lion
6 - The Bit
7 - The Bloat
8 - Night Goat
9 - With Teeth
10 - Youth Of America

I could upload them all but I don't know how to do torrents, so I guess I could upload them one by one over a few days either flac or mp3. let me know if anyone else is interested too. It's my personal favourite live recording ever of any band. YOA version is incredible too.

it just sounds liek there may be a second guitarist while whoever is doing the noise.

Nope, it's just a live version of the Electroretard version.  The guitar is Buzz, the noise is Kevin doing slidebass stuff.  Like many stuff on HAT (I'm thinking of 1:00 into Dr. Geek) you can tell the noise parts are Kevin, 'cause when those parts kick in the low end drops out.

I think that's what you're hearing as the second guitarist.

I'm interested for mp3.

Thanks.

Yes, that was my understanding too Stee. Just Kevin up to his old bass slide noise tricks again.

I'll upload the mp3's into a new thread in the music download sections from tomorrow night if anyone's interested.
