Rictus wins.....the guy had a camera, not a camcorder. There was a girl with a vid pass filming but I doubt we'll ever see it.

it was bUTTHOLE, but I still think mine was right.  :)

Maybe they would've let you film if you had a Down shirt on and a tribal tattoo.

I got all confused looking at this board on my phone.  I was speaking of the Down banner behind them, not the camera guy.  Just so weird to see them playing in front of it.

So I was correct! I thought you meant the camera from the rest of your response. Also, I'm not used to being right, about anything.

Ya? I've seen Buzz stage left, stage right, centre stage. I think it all
depends on the monitors, how the next band's gear is setup, etc.
Though he generally is stage right isn't he.

yeah, he's usually on dale's side with the tandem, if possible.

hanz, don't keep us waiting any longer!  :o

That would be stage left.  If he's to your right it's stage left.  That refers to the perspective of the person on stage.

I'm actually really glad I skipped the Seattle Melvins show.  I can't believe I'm typing this, but man it sounds like the DOWN-holes really lived up to all expectations and then some.  I think had I gone it would've ruined the Melvins-high that I'm still on from the 25th Anniversary show.  I just wish they'd done a headlining show in Seattle.  I don't know why they couldn't have on Monday night.  They were already in town.  All that said though, it almost would've been worth it to see them play POTRE in front of the meat heads.  Did they really play the whole 22 minutes of it?  Love that song.

That's what I was wondering...

Idlehanz

No....POTRE went maybe 5 or 6 minutes....maybe 7.  Still......it was HEAVY.  Very nice.

What other details?

Was there any banter with the crowd?  Or did they just come out and play?

How much were the tickets, $35.00 - 40.00 range?

Idlehanz

I think the tix were $25?  Maybe $30?  I really don't remember.

Before Anaconda Buzz said it was "nice to be back in the Northwest, the scene of the crime."  That was about it I think.

I was just wondering why he skipped the Seattle show. Thought maybe
there was a back story to his post.

Plus, I don't know if its Down policy or Roseland policy, but I got in trouble for taking a pic with my camera phone and calling a friend during Night Goat who couldn't make it.
IT'S A VENUE POLICY, IF THEY ENFORCE IT.  I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW MANY TIMES I'VE TAKEN PICS AT DOWN SHOWS, AND HOW MANY CAMERAS I SEE.

It was Down policy Santa.  I've been filming there for almost three years now.  NEVER had a single problem.
I'VE BEEN GOING TO DOWN SHOWS FOR SEVEN YEARS.  I'VE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH CAMERAS OR SEEN ANYONE GET IN TROUBLE FOR THEM.  THERE'S VIDS ON YOUTUBE OF VIRTUALLY ALL THEIR SHOWS.  BUT IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER TO JUST ASSUME IT WAS A BAND'S FAULT YOU DIDN'T LIKE, CARRY ON. :-({|=

Hey retard, he's filmed there before with no problems.  By deduction, that would indicate that one of the bands has a problem with filming, and we know it's not the Melvins.

I know for a fact it was.  Two different sources.  One close to the band, and one with the venue.  There isn't an ounce of assumption in my post.
