its been done actually, late 90s or so, for a few songs off thr maggot, with the melt banana dude and the guy from vaz. dale in the middle and the other guys playing along with the beat, no fills + extras.

danny carey doesn't have the beef to play with dale/coady.  he's all tech, neil perty.   he's not versed in the ways of the HEAVY.  at least make it someone who can WAIL.
