Anyways, my car broke down that day so I got a ride there with two of my friends.

Weedeater gets more and more fun to watch with each set. And they did the Paper-Rock-Scissors thng again.

Anyways, Melvins were great. Stormed out to something totally different. Even though the set was the same as indianapolis, I still had a great time. During Anaconda, Buzz went into a story about how he met the drummer of Weedeater, who said "Fuck you, faggot!". he then met the singer of Down, who also said "Fuck you, faggot!". And in dedication to the Down band and crew? "Fuck You Faggots!"

Since I didn't drive, I got shitfaced for once. I'm glad to know I'm happy and obnoxious when I'm drunk (And wearing a Melvins Houdini shirt didn't help). My parents would have been proud.

I'll have pictures up when I can. I'm car-free and broke until Friday.

I wasn't impressed with Weedeater. The best part of their act was the Muppet Show intro. Other than that it was just typical stoner rock in my opinion. For the most part, the Melvins sounded very tight. I have a greater appreciation for Dies Iraea hearing it live. That is definitely a song that sounds better live than  recorded. Night Goat sounded great. Is it just me or does Hooch as it is currently played live does not sound quite right. Like there is a wrong note in there that should not be in there. The Melvins set went by very quick for me. I wish they would have played for another hour. Oh well, I'm just glad to have seen them.
After they played I quickly exited and was home in less than a half hour.

You could tell very easily that the majority of people at the show were Down fans. But I was pleased by the overall behavior of the crowd. No doubt it was due to the Headliners Music Hall policy of NO moshing or crowd surfing tolerated. I for one was glad for that.

Weedeater was great live, This was the first time i've seen them.
Melvins set...Too short...But have seen them a billion times!
Down was way better than I thought they would be...The best part of the show was the way that the Melvins fucked with down by putting ping pong balls in the drums and silly sting spay all over the band as they played...not to mention that cody's shorts was pulled down so the whole crowd seen his dick! The MELVINS fucking rule! And the no moshing and no christian sign was funny as well...I know I saw a few lost holy rollers...Not sure.
A great night to get high with the bands, get loud and drunk in the ville.

I'll go out on a limb abn say buzz wasn't to be taken seriously.   
using the theory that 94% of what he says on stage isn't to be taken seriously.
