I ordered this cd last week and should be getting it within a couple days. Just wanted to know how the sound quality on it is? Not that it matters as it is a ton of live Melvins, but just curious.
What would a woman that fine want in a big, fat, nasty, greasy, fat, stank, bloated, cheesy-backed, 12-sandwich-eatin' bastard?

Turn around mister, and never trust a girl giving her donuts away for free.

Everything was recorded by a fan using a small portable stereo recording device from what I gathered from reading stuff on the Am Rep bored.  Sound is not great, but I have heard worse.

Now I am not so sure I will be getting this after all. I came across several negative reviews for the site which stated the people who ordered stuff never received their orders; and that no emails were returned or anything like that. Now I can't even access their website. I thought $20 including shipping for this seemed to good to be true. Looks like I will be canceling the money order. SHIT

I would cancel that pronto, the thing sold for $45 new.  I think you may have been hosed.  Go to www.amphetaminereptile.com you can get the 2nd pressing with different artwork there.

the quality ain't that bad for a boot recording.

I just hope you don't mind hearing 246 versions of Let It All Be live.

This is long sold out.  We selected the 2 best sounding audience recordings for the main 2 discs, plus a soundboard recording of Hung Bunny Roman Dog Bird.  I think they sound very good, I am particularly fond of the '06 show with DSS on bass, great At the Stake and Shevil to end the show.  The quality of some of the shows included on the mp3 disc is spotty, but still listenable.  The one 2004 show is worth just for how talkative Buzz is.  And yes, way too many versions of Let it All Be.  I wish we had been able to get the 2007 Grumpy's show, but it hasn't surfaced.  That was a great show with Jared on bass but no Coady.

I just went to amrep's site and they still had the CD there and when I clicked on it it said it was available for $40.  Go to the New Stuff section.  They even still have the Star Spangled Banner 7 inch too.

You didn't click far enough, it may say Buy It From ShopHaze, but when you get to ShopHaze it's not there.  This has been sold out for nearly a year.  As has Star Spangled Banner.  Buzz and Dale actually gave up some of their copies of SSB because it oversold.

It is sold out from Amrep.  I think it sounds great for a live show.  I think there were three releases of this; the first cover with the big M on the front, edition of 666, a release of 15 or so of the first cover printed on yellow paper, and the second release with a blue/red cover, 333 copies.

With my Melvins vs. Minne came 2 extra shows: 26 July 08 (Showbox/Seattle) and 31 July 08 (Ogden/Denver). I was well impressed because they arrived in the post less than a week after this date. They are on a seperate CD each, the quality is great (as per the rest of vs. Minne). They aren't part of the vs. Minne package, just sent by the guy who sold me the original. (I always assumed it was the guy responsible for the Grumpy's recordings). If this info isn't old hat, I'll make them available for you.

Ha, for a second I was thinking you got an extra cd from amrep.  REv himself supplied some/most of what you hear on those cds.. I'm not sure who recorded the two july shows, though.

Just to clarify, I did not do any of the recording, I merely did the leg work to get this stuff together.  It did take some doing as some of the shows had not circulated yet.  The ones we selected for the 2 non-mp3 discs being prime examples.
