I stumbled across this site a couple of days ago. I sometimes download from amazon and itunes, but most of time the selection stinks.
This is a fantastic site, totally legit. They're based in Germany, so they dont have to abide by the .99 minimum in the US. I got Electroretard for 96 cents! in 320 kbps bitrate! I also got the 4 cd Led Zepp box set for like 7 bucks!! They also have a great selection of Nirvana, including all the Outcesticides and other rare cd's.
I don't know what you guys use to get your music, but hopefully this will help someone find what they need.

This is a great site with great prices! However, how legit is this? Before I submit my credit card info, are you sure it is a legit music service?

spunkmonkey

It may be legit in Germany, but elsewhere, perhaps not so much.

Paying for mp3s?  Thanks but no thanks.

What do you mean? If it is a legit website, then surely the licensing for such a service anticipated international sales of mp3 files. Is their a law that prohibits me (an American) from buying from a German based music service?

No, but just because something is legal in Germany doesn't mean it's legal in the US.  I can go to a number of web sites (all legit and legal in their own country) and buy, for example,  pot seeds, but it's stil illegal here.

Mad Arab

Ok, then. It should be fine, if there is no law that prohibits international sales.

This site is great and everything seems to work as it should. Thank you for the info. I have downloaded about 869MB worth of songs so far. My interest lies more in finding individual tracks from bands that I like without buying an entire album worth of songs I don't care for. I can now make killer compilations without spending large amounts of money for songs.

.99 cents is too much for an mp3.

Glad i could help. It is a great site and i thought everyone should know about it.
Thanks
