Is it possible that Houdini is being Bootlegged?

If i get sniped one more time on Houdini, im gonna sink my swan in someones face!!!!!!!
I have lost this auction the last 10 times its been up! Sure, im trying to get SOMEWHAT of a bargain, but my bids are very competitive!
So this leads me to my question,
It is POSSIBLE that this record is being bootlegged by someone out there. Its weird too, Im only seeing AMREP Houdini, no atlantics and the covers ARE MINT!! On all of them! How is that possible?? Not even the SLIGHTEST sign of ring wear! Im talking 9/10 and VERY glossy.
Plus i've seen a few SEALED copies in the last couple months.
I mean...this record is ON FIRE!!!
$127-160 EVERYTIME.
I mean...theyve done it with the tool stuff, and people have cashed in. When that first wave of Aenima and 10,000 days came out, they were well over $100 each.

So am i totally crazy to think that someone is re-releasing these in their basements??
but since prices are the highest they've ever been, people are just cashing in on their houdinis?

Aren't there some without gatefold sleeves that were bootlegged a long time ago?

Wasn't a boot, rather a german release on atlantic.  I could be wrong on this.  The Amrep version is the gatefold version.

There are two releases of houdini. Amrep with gatefold and rocket reducer, and Atlantic with NO gatefold and spread eagle beagle.
NOW the prodo runs, i do not know. I know one is 5000.
Not worth it to bootleg? it wouldnt be hard with an original and its selling for almost 150 a pop.
im just a little weary.  Im pretty sure that there were only 5000 amrep copies.
I have bought tons of boots. Temple of the dog, Aenima, 10000 days. Some good, some not so good.
A good bootleg is Aenima. Only difference were the full color sleeves were missing. Another good bootleg is the Love Buzz nirvana single and the Hormoaning autralian Nirvana ep.
There is a record store by where i live (VINTAGE VINYL!!!) and they have a little richard album from the 50's and its only $100 and in great shape.
What makes houdini rarer than that little richard album?!

In what areas/countries were the Atlantic version released??

put out 'Boris the Pervert', complete with wrong song listing.)....Anyway, you have a lot of versions of singles & vinyl colors that I've never seen in the States, at least on the east coast.

i also checked the german pressing of stoner witch -> "GOOSE FRRIGHT TRAIN"
