Mesteren

I was in contact with him this summer, and this is what he wrote me at that time:
"The new album is more traditional like The Silent Treatment, and is darker, and bleaker. I've been working on it for 5 or 6 years at this point. Hopefully, I'll be able to make arrangements for a release in the first half of next year."
To be afraid when you are alone, in the dark, faced with the unknown, the unspeakable; that is understandable fear. To be afraid, mortally afraid, in broad daylight, in a crowded city street, that is to know Melvins.

I am in despair for I cannot find the silent treatment anywhere :(
My cow is not pretty, but it is pretty to me.

anaconda

I can upload it for you as well. Just PM me phil

From Mark's bio:

QuoteHe also did sound engineering for the band on a US tour with GWAR when Joe Preston was in the band.

ZAH??!?

Edit: Oh wait, nevermind. It's referring to Joe being in the Melvins, not GWAR. I got a little carried away there.

If Joe was in Gwar he wouldn't even have to wear a costume or have an alias.  He'd just be off to the side as "Joe Preston".

From Mark Deutrom...
".... attached a couple of tracks that are giveaways from the same sessions that will not be included on the release. Please feel free to duplicate and pass these along all you want. A friend from the band Fastball did the vocals and guy whose been playing with Rocky Erickson and Okkervil River did the drums on these two tracks.

It looks like this release will be digital only through Southern Lord, so drop them a note and ask when it's going to be available. There may be a CD or vinyl if there is demand for it. This will be out under Mark Deutrom, and is called "The Value of Decay".
I have a new band called County Bucks and a facebook link is here :

.....working on a recording with that band right now. It's not associated with the other thing."
