here's the point, the Melvins have a job that is making music just as you have a job doing whatever it is you do. they have to pay their rent and bills, just like you do. they feel, and judging by some of the comments on this and other threads it would be true, that people are downloading their music (for whatever bullshit reason people make) thereby stealing money, or if you want to view it as such, their wages, from them. to combat the loss of income at their job they have begun charging more for their products and making it so that you can only get it direct from them, cutting out the middleman, which makes sense.
at your job, how would you feel if your boss told you that your wages are going to go down because people have been stealing from your company? do you go along with it or do you find a new job or new line of work?
as for me, i personally appreciate the fact that the Melvins make awesome music that entertains me to no end. therefore i am more than happy to do my part and support them in their artistic endeavors.
if you don't like the high prices then dont buy it and shut the fuck up. you are not entitled to enjoy other peoples hard work.
in fact, JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
