QuoteHey All, we are ok. Dale had a dislocated pinky, but got it set and is fine. Haven't looked at news yet so not sure what the damage is.

Again,a gorgeous tragedy approaches,in the wake of those thought contained. But sonic reverberations shake the very marrow of the fragile chamber of mans lifeforce, and again the minions quiver in fear,as daylight fails to come, and Melvins walk the battlefield, bored and hungry...

I think mother nature is trying to abort us or something.

No, seriously, things really do seem to be gettin' worse and worse on this planet. I feel like I haven't done enough. Sometimes I really do wonder if the end is near...

The deadliest earthquake ever recorded occurred in 1556. An estimated magnitude 8.0 earthquake hit Shaanxi, China. It occurred about 50 miles outside of the capital of Shaanxi and left more than 830,000 dead. The damage extended as far away as Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi and about 270 miles northeast of the epicenter.

When you consider that the Earth's population is nearly 7 Billion today, much more than in 1556, it's actually surprising that a single natural disaster hasn't killed over a million people.  Still, that number would be a very tiny fraction of the Earth's population.
