Can anyone tell me what song Track 10 is off of the Houdini CD is?

I mentioned before on a similar thread that after the tour is over this would probably be reissued by AmRep as a non-letterpress/somewhat regular version for a cheaper price, maybe

Still, I'd like to hear them

I think links would be acceptable considering that this release will sell out no matter what.

That's how I feel.  This isn't Sugar Daddy, it's a rare live recording that most of us won't even get a chance to buy.

usually when an official release goes out of print, or is extremely limited we've allowed links.
further to that thought, these are live shows and the band has always been open to us sharing
their live recordings. however, i once didn't delete a porn/merzbow link and i briefly lost my mod
title. so ...ya ....

I don't know if it's fair to say that it's okay to leak it because "this release will sell out no matter what". There's a lot of time between now and the end of the tour. $50 is a very fair price for the set but it's still $50. It wouldn't surprise me if a whole bunch of potential buyers saved their money if they could download it for free. Once the tour is over, however, I think even the band would be fine with it. They'll have made their money and hopefully funded some other tasty project.

The release will 100% sell out, guaranteed.

I am a raper guy, obviously.

I think most of the people who want to buy this will want to buy it regardless of whether they have the files to listen to or not - most things make their way online eventually anyway... It's different for collectables - a commercial release I can see people not buying because they can download it for free, because they can buy it at any time... It'll always be available, but something as limited as this... Well there isn't really another chance of getting it, and they're pretty scarce. The Melvins have sold out box sets of previously released material (which anyone can download easily from almost anywhere), they've sold a 7" with absolutely no music on it and people pay up to

If things go my way, I will be getting my hands on a copy of the San Francisco residency cd.

I too would appreciate this.

I don't think an official download link has to be put up or such but even someone saying "yeah okay I've put them up to download send me a PM if you want the links" should be fine.

The Fool

in the meantime, there's a fucking great recording of the bullhead set from 17th at GAMH up on Dime!
apparently, more will be shared soon.
take care,

I agree with you completely.  BUT, I still think the right thing to do is wait until the tour is over and we know for sure they've sold all of the sets.

It's been said by the band that the only way that they can really make any $$ now is through touring and the limited edition stuff.  The albums aren't worth it anymore.  I don't want any part of keeping them from making new albums ( cheap ) by bootlegging the rare stuff WHEN IT'S STILL AVAILABLE (costly, to them).  As much as it hurts me to say it ( only because I cannot afford all of it ), I hope they keep putting out limited edition stuff.   If it keeps them in the studio and on the road, I'm 100% for it.
Later this year AmRep are releasing an AmRep/Melvins box set. This might contain all the old singles they did together, and might contain all these recent Endless Residency recordings, too. It could be prudent to wait.
