nah.

every MELVINS show I've been to in Detroit has been packed.  so it isn't a sales issue.  I just think its a convienance issue.
when you're working with 4 weeks, period, driving up into Michigan and than back out again is slightly time-consuming.

believe me, I'm as pissed as you.  but I believe in the 50 states/50 days tour.   our time will come.  and there will be a sweet sweet reunion (thats YOU and ME I'm talking about )
I sure hope you guys are right. I'm not denying the fact that the shows have been packed, but I do know some Detroit venues are notorious for bad management.  They did the stick, then smalls, then...Mount Clemens? That was weird, and unexpected, don't you think? First and only time I've ever been to the Emerald.

The Trevor Dunn/Lite tour is 50 states in 50 days, no? SO it's inevitable to skip. See you there!

That is what Trevor Dunn himself told me during a conversation at a jazz gig he was doing in LA about a month and a half ago. 51 straight days. It was originally going to be 50 and then they decided to add Washington DC. The only time they are flying is Hawaii and Alaska. The rest of the time they are driving. They are also going to document bring along someone to film the tour. He said Buzz came up with the idea when they were doing the Melvins Lite tour one night and the next day he called their booking guy and said "do it". He wanted to get the ball rolling before anyone could "change their minds".

I'll have to see where I am and what everyone else wants to do but let me know where you guys want to meet when the show rolls around.

They should have a competition to see who can come up with a tour itinerary to cover gigs at 51 states in 51 days WITH THE LEAST MILEAGE TRAVELLED. The one with least mileage wins a Melvins ticket and a map.

Has the show in Orlando on April 23rd been changed or cancelled? I see tix on Ticketmaster for the show in Gainesville the next day but not Orlando.
