why haven't KISS sued the melvins yet?

they treated the guys nice when they toured together but kiss is so sue-happy,why haven't they tried w/all the kiss related stuff the melvins have put out? does buzz have a secret that gene&paul dont want people to know?

cuz the melvins association has helped keep KISS cool, and it's brought
KISS a ton of fans from the underground that wouldnt know about them
without the Melvins referencing them.

Disagree. Those first four KISS albums are amazing for their era.
Plus, if KISS weren't cool the Melvins wouldnt have covered so many
of their tunes!

Kiss approved of the solo LP sleeves, and this obvious respectfulness toward them helped when Kiss approached Melvins to go tour with them. I've just listened to an interview with Buzz where he talks about this, but my enfeebled mind can't remember which interview it was. If I remember before Anaconda helps me out, I'll post it here.

Buzz told me that they were aware of the solo LPs when they came out and Gene is pretty on top of things and if they had been worth suing it would have happened. They also later told him (Gene) that Kurt played and sang on Going Blind so he was stoked about that and that. A few years ago Melvins fan brought the solo LPs to a Kiss signing and tried to get Kiss to sign them. I think Gene did but Ace and Paul wouldn't, or something like that.

Lulz. Gene signed it 'Buzz' and Peter signed the Dale album with his normal signature. Then Buzz signed under that, and Dale signed with his 1/3 signature.

Absolutely! I just got home from seeing Ace tonight and seeing him do the songs from those albums were the highlights of the show. Much fun!
