I think the one track thing is just standard Melvins trickery. A crafty way to make people who would just skip to sit through a long slow build up. Kinda like the COD stuff live . . . I've seen alota people leave shows cause they weren't rockin out.

A couple of weeks ago I made a thread on which album should I get and I picked Bullhead out of a random drawing because of all the reccomendations I got. So anyway although I dont really remember the album that well I do remember enjoying it and being in the mood for it. Boris is slow 8 minute song that feels like 3 minutes. Although I really dont recall the lyrics it was satisfying. Well the reason I havent listened to it in the past 2 days is because it came on the same day my Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous album came so I been listening to that alot. the weirdest thing about The Melvins to me is that I actually enjoy this, I was never into slowish metal or jazz. I mean my favorite metal album is Rust in Peace by Megadeth. So I can say the melvins opened a whole new world open to me (not really) but hey I am a new fan!

You're right, the drums in the intro sound great, the drums in the middle part sound great, the drums on the end sound very great, and everything else too. What a band. I have a bootleg from Beto and they played this song it in 89 I believe, awesome.

I've had bullhead for a month atleast now and I have a hard time chosing a favorite. I guess it would have to be either Zodiac or Your Blessened.

What is that crazy drum sound on that album? It sounds like a cymbal gone wrong. The best example is right at the beginning of Your Blessened. It reminds me of those bugs in the summer that are always buzzing.
