Easily the best non-Atlantic Melvins release by far...love the album. Crank it LOUD.
Don't cut me!DON'T CUT ME!
-Thrones, Simon Legree live...

pottyhead

anaconda is sucha powerful song.

blacksanta

My two favorites: LIGATURE and YOUR BLESSENED
Also melvins is gay cuz some of their songs are just noise, i tell you this so you all don't buy albums and find out only one two songs is good on them.

Leroy M

Yeah Anaconda is timeless.  I've listened to that song so many times and i STILL LOVE IT! :D

anaconda

i'll try my damned best to live up to the name!! great song, great CD

alnis

Anaconda never stood out for me until I figured it out on guitar (the song, not the person), but once I did, I couldn't (and can't) get enough. That's a fun song to play.

And easy-peasy.

Alnis

The Dead Zeppelin

I was lead to believe that it was the best Melvins album of them all.
Obviously I went into it with great expectations. Sadly though,

1. Stoner Witch
2. Prick
THEN
3. Bullhead

I liked the songs. I Liked the album. It was good, But it was not great.

the melvins

on your blessened and Cow dale has these weird sounding cymbals...

to can hear them all through your blessened.... like the intro...

and in some parts of cow...

does anybody know if these are like.. electronic or just really weird cymbals?

lord of heaviness

Dale might have used a weird recording technique to achieve this, or simply when he hits them, something on the kit vibrated like a loose nut. Personally, I have been curious myself.
What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?

anaconda

maybe i'm crazy, but the kit he was playing on back then had all cracked and busted cymbals. could this be what is giving this effect on the recording??

Metalhead Cow

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've wondered what it is also. I acctually assumed that it wasn't cymbols, but some kind of studio effect. I really don't know though.

He puts cracked cymbals on top of good ones.  That'll probably do it.
