this thread inspired me to get back into bullhead...i forgot how badass boris is....i need to see them play that song live just once before i die, because the recording of it on bullhead does not do it justice at all.

out of the three times i've seen them play live, i think the only song they've done from this album is its shoved

i know we've been over this before, but Bullhead has to be my least favorite of the early Melvins records....the sole reason being the production, sorry to say.  The songs themselves are awesome and absolutely kill LIVE, but no matter how you adjust the settings on your stereo, that album is always lacking something.  That to me is the key when determining when an album has stellar production.....no matter how you have the EQ set on your stereo, the sound will still just totally kick your ass.  And as much of a reputation as an asshole Steve Albini may have, he manages to get it right in the studio most of the time(as far as my ears can tell, at least).  I was listening to some Jesus Lizard earlier today and was reminded of this.

Bullhead is my favorite melvins lp ever. the first time i saw them was the tour for that record.

DirtyProtest

Just giving it my second ever listen.  Fucking a.

musefreek

yes, soon you will become obsessed with bullhead, just like the rest of us.

blipntime

Bullhead, in addition to being my favorite Melvins release, is also in my 2nd favorite album of all time, right behind Black Sabbath's paranoid. Ligature is really the only less than perfect song on there.

norecess

At this moment is my favorite either, especially the trio It's Shoved, Zodiac and If I Had An Exorcism (does anyone have the complete lyrics).

My favorite Sabbath album would be Master of Reality or Sabotage.

It is one of the few CDs ever made where there is literally not one bad track... it is perfect.

KURDTLUVUR!

That album is TOO good to have been made by humans.  I suspect the Melvins had special "help" with that album.
May all your dreams come true!
