Bullhead is much more Crazy than Ozma, Eggnog is like adding nitrous oxide to Bullhead as Honky is like adding ketamine to Stag.


In terms of crazy, I should say that even buzz admits Prick is stupider than lou reeds metal machine sound ( I guess you gotta ask Lou Reed how you'd have to define the "craziness" of that album too)..OH, And SPEAKING OF CRAZY ;

not heavy as shit,infact i think the bootlicker is one of their craziest. i meant unexpected,unpredictable,eccentric. i mentioned ozma because their songwriting during that era was so weird witch such crazy signatures..also mark d made that album to sound like nothing they have ever done,before and after that. melvins sound is usually fat,ozma sounds tiny

I would say the last two have been the craziest, in that (for me) they are almost unlistenable. And I like the off-kilter/unpredictable ones like COD, Stag, etc.

I think I am getting old though, so your results may vary greatly.

Artists like to toot their horns all the time, I don't care anymore.

I know a few too many performance artists...and they are old too...and Fucked, some bordering on hoarder tendancies and witchcraft.

too many theatre  events have softened their Manic hippie brains..not at all practical.

some of them have real mental disabilites, most of them ARE crazy,  because of the frantic and pointless distractions in the modern world.

I tend to centre myself around a still little Zen Centre.  

My favourite performance artist I've seen so far is Genesis P. orridges late wife Lady Jaye...WOW, she's MACRO-uber-doober whatever Legit man said.

most people DON'T buy melvins Records, so they wouldn't "get" the whole Satire thing anyway, for all it's worth it mostly goes over everyones heads.

don't blame me, blame it on society. See I'm one of those people who "get" the whole slant of the satire, It's a long time coming, no one could beat you over the head with it better than the Melvins of course... of course it wasn't exactly something that just happens all of a sudden.
It took years of buying Melvins Albums and of course being a free thinking outsider had a lot to do with it.

I think the Title "the melvins" says it all.

I'm not out there looking to buy the next biggest thing either, I realized why I can't be happy keeping score many a year ago.

being a Musician myself I have a lot against the whole music/art Industry, but I realized I have never experianced ANYTHING similar to what the Melvins have been through.

So no, I don't think It's crazy at all, I think I makes perfect sense in fact. Case in point, I believe people spending 25 bucks on a Justin beiber or LAdy Gaga CD are fucking CRAZY!!!
