"honky," "COD" and "prick" are the obvious choices, but i always thought "stag" was the craziest, simply because atlantic put it out.  that's gotta be up there as one of the most non-commercial albums released by a commercial label ever.

I also think The Trilogy is pretty nuts, especially all the long electronic style interludes between songs.  I feel they are on par with Stag on the weirdness tip.
To be quite fair tho, COD is definitely the weirdest one IMO.

Honestly though, I've given this subject more thought. I am listening to Hung Bunny/Roman Bird Dog right now and I think Lysol might be the craziest for the time. Honestly, Ive always considered the two tracks one song. My LP never hadda tracklisting either. Shit is bonkers to make 1 song the whole side of an album. Granted, at the time Melvins fans were just slapped in the face by Bullhead and Eggnog. The first side is almost like COD only a melodic version!  Then to have so many covers on the B side. Honestly for years I never knew Sacrifice wasn't their song, I think Flipper should really just sign it over to them tho    Also, I know its sorta short to be called an album, but to me it has always felt like an album. (and I believe they consider it an album not an EP) Bottom line,  The Melvins don't give a fuck, they just do shit their own way and Lysol was the first record to really show me that.

Lysol is a friggen masterpiece. That might have been the first one that really got me sucked in. It's just perfect. When it's over, it's like, there's really no use listening to anything else now because nothing can ever top that.

I don't know why I use the term Belvins. I don't think it's a thing, I made it up in my head years ago when (A) came out and thought it was fun and clever. They're still Melvins, of course. I'm just silly like that and often amuse myself with word-play.

And yeah. Bulls & Bees just fricken owns like no business - with big business! (see? see what I did there? ).
What a beauty of a record.

Mad shout out to Stag, too, but COD and Honky are still the weirdest in my humble tiny opinion.

I haven't heard all of Honky yet, and what I have heard has been off youtube on my shitty computer speakers. I am very excited I finally got the record cheap and that its on its way as we speak. Can't wait to blast it on the good speakers off the turntables 

Also mad shout outs to Stag but COD gets the gas face, unless it's the Endless Residency version which I highly approve of!
