The current guinness record for a consecutive tour is 50 states in 50 days; won't the melvins have to do 50 in 49 days to beat it?

Here's other records they could possibly beat:

MOST CONCERTS OF THE SAME ARTIST ATTENDED IN ONE YEAR

LOUDEST SCREAM BY A CROWD (INDOORS)

LOUDEST APPLAUSE

FASTEST TO PLAY A CONCERT IN EACH OF THE 50 US STATES
The fastest time to play a concert in each of the 50 states of the USA is 50 days by Adam Brodsky (USA) between 3 August and 21 September 2003. Brodsky went on play an extra date on 22 September in Washington DC.

I think Mike Watt actually owns the record for most relentless tours. He usually does like 2 months straight with no more than 2 nights off.

(((O)))

Don't all Guinness record attempts require a representative from said organisation to act as a witness to proceedings? Can you imagine that job?

It must be easier now the IRA has disbanded.

I'll definitely be catching Melvins Lite at Slim's in San Francisco before this tour kicks off, but I really want to try to catch them out of state somewhere that I'm not so familiar with. Put the OH, MA, and NV dates in my calendar just earlier today....

I'd love to try that sometime, but I bet Dan or Brian would easily win when they tour for selling merch.

Imagine the stuff that could happen in the future with the Melvins: Imagine this announcement on the front page of the melvins.net:

"the Melvins announce tour with supporting guests Melvins Lite and Melvins 1983" :o

George Thorogood WILL BE DESTROYED
(an idea for a shirt at the merch table)

I might consider chirping up if George Thorogood wasn't such a badass.
Ever seen him live?  BORING.  He went through the motions and nothing more.

thank you for that.  you just made me feel 1,000 times better that I missed him on  my birthday last year becuase I had to go to some stupid wedding.  :)
Hey man. Dudes. I'm not talking trash, just simply stating the facts for what must be done.
The man drinks alone, and is bad to the bone - but his reign of all that is ready to come to an end.

A lot of venues will start selling tix today and tomorrow (Fri and Sat) but no news from Grumpy's as of right now.
