so here is my quick review of my 2 melvins nights. needless to say it was absolutely amazing for both nights.

on friday afternoon i took the train to geneva, which takes about 3.5 hours. met an old mate from work for a few beers. he did not want to come to the show (i guess i shocked him the last time when i took him to see swans)  :D

anyway so i went alone. support was also the dj-thing. but it was actually quite good. the dj was the singer/guitarist from the young gods and he made an hour of extremly loud, dissonant noise electro pieces whatever. i liked it.
then the melvins came on and played the already known set.
i am very lucky with this set list: ligature, at the stake, the bit and HB/RDB.... all favourites. also the newer tunes were superb!
during lizzy i noticed that buzz indeed likes to make up some lines. he was singing "and he's on the stage" referring to a guy who wanted to stage dive whereas the night after in zurich he sang "and she's not dale".
since i was alone in geneva i stayed sober and watched the whole gig from the front row, right in front of buzz.
at the end of the show i got a drumstick from coady...

yesterday night was zurich and my girlfriend and some other friends were also coming, so it was a bit more party feeling. i watched it relaxed from the tribune where i could oversee the whole crowd and had easy access to the bar etc...

attached are a few photos which my girlfriend made... (mainly buzz, because "he is cute" as she says)...

Cool. I really like that Jared pic, great composition there. Buzz went back to the old mumu?  The electro opener sounds interesting i have to say.

great review buddy

this made me laugh!

i'm so jealous you got to see them two times.and must be a cool experience to see the melvins alone. Coady on twitter said the dj set was awesome

Buzz probably changed mumu because the one with teeth was too wet  :D

first night he wore the with teeth mumu and played the aluminium guitar, second night he had the above mumu and played the transparent guitar...

i already saw them alone on the 2008 tour. and whenever possible i will handle it like that also in the future, it's very cool to have one night only for you and one night with friends  :D

yes the dj-set was cool. at one point he spun something of metallicas and justice for all, and he had on both decks the same record, but different songs and cut the songs up into pieces and threw everything togehter again and all this at a very high volume!

the dj in zurich was lame though, he only spun some rock / metal songs without a lot of mixing...

Wow! Nice poster. Nice review, too.

In Munich he sang, "Elvis has a daughter, and so does Dale."
