I know of at least one Melvins collector (who will remain nameless) and now will have to track down a copy of Tipping the Worm...

BTW, it's NOT me!!  I'm very satisfied with my Melvins...  Besides, they aren't the only musick I listen to...

The girlfriend bought me the Mudhoney split for my birthday. It arrived over the weekend. 8)

So there is a Blizzard hitting CT today, perfect day to make that Sugar Daddy Box to house all my  SD Splits.
They have not been fairing well on my regular record shelf so I decided to get creative. So here it is, Dan Halen's feeble attempt at making a box for all his Sugar Daddys. (Disclaimer, I have always been artistically challenged, hope it's ok that I am posting this)

Oh Bugger.
Just as I remembered, I did have just perfect unused box in store, but then harsh Melvins-reality jumped in.

The box is just perfect to house 13 S'Daddys, but no more. How come I'm not surprised that there needs to be more room for a series of 13 x 12"s than you'd think at first. A minimum of 15 copies has to fit in, because vol. 5 and vol. 6 came on two different vinyl combos - and who knows what's in store until the series is finished.

This box was only advertised as fitting 12 LPs... but by my calculations the Sugar Daddy's are a little thinner than most normal Lps inside a standard cover.
As far as collecting the variants (The clear ones were actually just a pressing plant error that Haze accepted a partial shipment of so the band could sell them on the 51/51 tour) I am not all that concerned. I just want 13 awesome splits with greats bands and 13 different colored pigs. :D
Los ticka toe rest

Everybody loves pork in a nice box :P

I gotta get a bigger box somewhere, mine does not have space enough, I tried with other similar vinyl included. 13 would go, but it won't close with 15 - and I want to fit all 15 in it. I have no choice as I have already bought both versions of vol. 5 and vol. 6.
Maybe I should think about getting a real big one, so I could also include cardboard stiffeners in the box for those sleeves.

you're also going to need room for both the fucked up and the fucfed up and the tipping the lion and the tipping the worm variants.

Godflesh

Yes, I know

I can let the Tipping the Worm go, but I think the Fucfed Up needs to be there - if everything else is.

YO!
Anyone wanna sell me one Fucfed Up -sleeved split? Or trade of course?
Tipping the Worm is accepted also if someone wants to sell or trade. I have the regular versions myself, so those aren't needed.

I wasn't going to mention this, because I don't want to kill your buzz.  I asked both Mackie and Haze if they could make us a slipcase for the SD splits.  Of course, it couldn't be as nice as your box.  Haze likes the idea, but Mackie remains quiet on the subject.  I prefer slipcases because boxes don't work well with my record racks.

If this isn't forthcoming, I might have to do something myself.  Also for the Ambient Takeover 7"s, and 1-12 7" Series...

Is anyone else interested in these?
