The answer is YES.

Igor was the one that actually told him (Patton) that Lombardo was a better fit.

I liken the Fantomas tracks...reminds me a little of the style on Suspended Animation. I get Buzz's point, why re record them when they sound good as demos. I can only imagine the time and effort it takes to learn these tracks as a musician after Patton gives you something like that to learn. It's so impressive to me that they can pull it off live.
