and they did wear mumus too... inspired by king size homer?

maybe dale's the weed smoking tv watcher! :)
...when trevor sang going blind with them in sydney on the australian geek show tour (melvins/fantomas/tomahawk) and trevor drank a bottle of whiskey and passed out, when he was being dragged from the stage, dale said:"i am bassplayer, please insert alcohol!"

strikingly similar to bender saying: "i am bender, please insert liquor" in the futurama ep 'how hermes requisitioned his groove back' i thought.

anyway, if buzz watching no tv is how he gets so much done, i'm glad he doesn't watch any!
(not like he's really missing much with the state of tv these days)

I think that Buzz is kind of making that whole tv thing up.  I think he just makes shit up sometimes.  But maybe I'm wrong.  He talked to me once for a while about old horror movies and it sounded like he has a real collection of that stuff.  I'm sure we watches them on something.  Maybe he just doesn't watch a lot of tv.  maybe insted it's all movies.  who knows?...Maybe Glen...or Conda they might know.

The Fool

yeah- he did say they don't have a 'normal' type band website because there 'would not be a word of truth on it' all those years ago.

i never know whether buzz is being serious or fucking with the interviewer, so yeah, he could be over-exaggerating the tv thing because he thought it was (and is really) a ridiculous question to ask him, being when he usually gives the most extreme answers like that one.

I could have sworn I read an interview a while back where Buzz straight up said, "I lie in interviews".  So there you go.

futurama
Buzz wrote a Melvins bio for the Ipecac website when (A)SA came out using nothing but quotes from Futurama. He even said so himself. I guess he may not have had to watch it to do so but that seems unlikely.

Preorders are up on Amazon and Bestbuy, but both say the release date is May 1st.

Amazon's usually pretty accurate. It's likely that it got moved up.

Very cool!  I'll wait to preorder though because signed copies of NWB and BSM were offered through Newbury Comics.

Do they have Newbury Comics in Georgia? I thought they were only based in New England.

Not that I know of but you could order it online.  It cost about the same as other places were charging too.

preorder from amazon, and if newbury comics have signed copies, then cancel your amazon order and list the reason for cancelling as due to signed copies being available from newbury if/when the time comes and they do have signed copies.

i did it for both NWB and TBSM!
