It is indeed written backwards. I don't remember what it said but I think it was lyrics to songs.
Nirvana songs!  :D

That would actually be brilliant. After decoding the words to see all that work as lyrics to some other band.  8)

Next time preorder through Amazon. Quit going through these fly by night websites spending your hard earned money. Amazon may have the occasional delay but it's few and far between.

I keep thinking I'm hearing something else at the end of Tommy Goes Beserk. I want to say "5ive". Anyone remember that one? I have it here somewhere but I can't seem to find it to check.
What the band 5ive?

No, it was the song that was called "five". For some reason I remember it being spelled "5ive". I don't know if it was a cover but I'm guessing maybe it was? It was on a tape of a radio interview at a place called Bullmoose Music. I think the station was called WMPG. Anyway, it was sort of a repetitive, noisyish thing that had Dale shouting, "FIVE!.....FIVE!......FIVE!" near the end. The tape must be in a box around here somewhere but I guarantee I'll never find it. (FIVE! dollars says Buttholeman or maybe Anaconda comes up with an mp3 within half an hour.)

I'm looking for the mp3 as I type, but it was them doing their version of
TG's 'Five Knuckle Shuffle'. The title was abbreviated to '5ive' on most
of the mp3 rips on Limewire, etc.

It was originally called 'Trackfive' though on the Throbbing Gristle tribute album 'In Formation'

Yes sir! A landmark piece of work that they can be proud of. No other band keeps
bringing fresh idea after fresh idea so far into their career the way Melvins do!

Melvins Lite could be like their version of Crazy Horse, here for an album or two, go away for an album or two, ect.

Interesting observation considering Neil and Crazy Horse's 'Americana' was released
on June 5th, the exact same day as Melvins Lite's 'Freak Puke'   :-k :-k :-k

You gotta love Neil, though this new album, I have no desire to hear. But it is nice to see them riding that Crazy Horse again.

rimb

Got to agree that this is indeed an excellent album.

My favourite since POTRE.

I bought it! I'm digging it. Their versions of these 'standards' are reworked to the point
where you can barely recognize the originals that they're supposedly based on.
