Seems like the cd is going for pretty high prices online.  Of course, it is definately worth paying $20.  But amazon.com does not have any "new" copies listed directly from them.  Although it is on amazon mp3, though.

I'm hoping that Ipecac did not stop printing the older Melvins releases, like GPT, Maggot, etc.

Ipecac's usually pretty good at keeping things in print. Maybe they ran out and need to press more.

Are the MP3's split up like the album?

Leroy

I payed under 40 dollars at SAMS import prices back in the day for these, I was waiting for them all to come out.

I used to pay way too much for this bands CDs and basically couldnt afford anything else.

Most I've ever payed was like 45 bucks or more for the first Fantomas.

HMV...I've wised up a little since my teens.

i downloaded the itunes mp3s and they're all split up like the cd/vinyl versions. Although they don't distinguish between "Amazon" and "AMAZON", they just list it as "Amazon" parts 1-4

That Track split thing was the best thing to copy proofing your Music I can think of.

*AHEM* TAPE RECORDER :-$

Ya, it's really obvious they didn't even try, but it doesn't really surprise me. Only takes a couple seconds to fix once you've downloaded them, thank god :D I'm really OCD about the spelling and proper track listings of songs haha

For a regular CD? How could it be so expensive?

At first I thought this is why they did it but after looking it up it appears that The Maggot came out in May of 1999 while Napster came out in June 1999.  Not to mention that Alive at The Fucker Club has the tracks divided up weirdly too.

It seems like I read an interview with Buzz and he was asked about it.  He just said, "So you can skip to the middle of every song." and then another question was asked.  So there you go.   :?

Anyway, The Maggot does seem to be rare at the moment.  Bestbuy.com says it's back ordered as well.
