I thought this could be an interesting topic. Let me get the ball rolling:
Has anyone ever noticed that Buzz plays Anaconda live a little differently than on Bullhead? On the recording he strums a Db power chord, while live he plays a C power chord for that part.

I'm talking about the part that starts at 1:21:

Melvins - Anaconda

i noticed that! the main difference between studio and live version is they tend to play the songs a lot faster live. was listening to TBSM a few days ago and i was shocked how slow Evil New War God and Water Glass are on album. that's because i got used listening to the live versions of those songs from all the youtube videos posted on here.

What about Blood Witch that one live is double speed or something!

That's funny-the same thing happened to me! I got so used to watching live videos of The Water Glass and Evil New War God, that when I listen to the album those songs seem so slow!

And yeah they totally jack up the tempo for blood witch live

Manky, and The Fool, The Meddling Idiot are a couple songs that they've played slower live than on the album. The version of Manky on Melvins vs. Minneapolis is crushing! I think there's a really killer super slow version of The Fool, The Meddling Idiot on Vinney's Melvins Goldmine.

Mad Arab

Let It All Be is much better live than on the album.

However I feel the opposite about Honey Bucket. They play it too fast and I think it ruins it.

So true. Although they don't play that second half live tho.

I think let god be your gardener is a really impressive song live. It's already a complicated song, so the fact that they rev it up makes it even more impressive.  :)

I love that second part of Let It All Be as well. Been too long since I've heard it though with the way it's "hidden" in the back end of the song.

Absolutely! I stood in front of Crover watching him play that song in 2009. It was amazing.

The second part is great. I really like the drum beat Dale plays and Buzz's vocals. I also really love the transition into the second half. It's all spacey and psychedelic, and Buzz is whispering frantically like a madman possesed by the devil... Really cool stuff
