This was a great night! Sweaty as fuck but great. Much better than the Opera House in terms of sound.

Was super cool Buzz was nice enough to talk to us and thank us for coming out and driving the distance to see them. Buzz wasn't sure how to take me telling him a co-worker was completely blown away and forced to rethink his musical tastes for the past 30 years after a Melvins Lite gig not knowing what to expect(or ever hearing them before). This guy loved Steve Vai, and Satriani, and Dream Theatre. Now isn't sure about them anymore but knows Melvins made him feel something inside he never felt before.

I am going to head out to Hamilton and see if I can give someone else a first time Melvins experience.

Yeah, certainly sounded better tonight. Buzz's guitar wasn't buried at all and the bass tone was way more defined and acoustic sounding.Though over all the show didn't seem as trippy, dreamy and plush; more rocking, bristling, and wirey. Maybe it was just the brighter sound? Nice seeing them there ... nice tiny room. Maybe a couple hundred capacity? Right in your face.

Yeah, hot enough though?

Guess it wouldn't have been as hot if I wasn't stuggling against peoples shitty attempts at dancing. Some real idiots in the crowd ... had to throw a few elbows and a couple "yo fuck off dipshits" around. In fact one was to a dude that looked alot like the singer for Fucked Up?

Good God Damn!!! Shevil!!! Totally amazing. Not as drawn out as last night. But man it was just ... wow!

Eye Flys was particularily mind blowing too. Of course it all was; but those two bookends really stood out.

Think I spied Flutter a few people over on my left. Was gonna says something afterwards. But by the end I was so hot I literally ran out the door ... and never saw him (or whoever it was) again ... sorry dude.

Well one more night to go. These are the days!

Ok, This show kicked ass!!! London is a lot better of a drive then Toronto not as many nutbar drivers. So we got there around 8:00pm doors were not open yet so we hung around the parking lot right across from the Melvan. Had a beer seen Buzz walking around so we went up to talk to him. As we walked up there were two guys started talking to him, so i just stood by and listend in, and Bigjilm was right the look on Buzz's face was great when he told him about his friend. When there was a break in the conversation i asked Buzz to sign my Eggnog cd, he said definitely, he also told me the Eggnog is one of his fav's!!! Told him i was flying to Alaska to see them , he seemed kinda surprised, then he asked me where i live and i told him Elora, he asked if that where Wayne Gretzky lived , the two guys there told him Brantford. After Buzz went back in i looked at the two guys and asked "Are you Greasy" and it was Greasy and Bigjilm!!! now these are some easy going friendly dude's , it was great to meet you guy's!!! Ok now, once we made it in and seen how small this place was made me so happy!!! i got right up at the stage right in front of Buzz. Eye flies was amazing!!! the sound was really good but couldn't really hear Dale, the band seemed to have some good energy. i forget what song it was but Trevor was playin the stand up behind his back. Some guy jumped on stage when Set Me Straight which made them stop, i thought this was gonna take the wind out of the sails , but it just made Trevor and Dale do some kick ass jazz improv while Buzz did some great chit chat, can't really remember what he all said but there was some joke about an airline pilot and an eight year old?!?!? Anyway the show was great all round , Shevil was amazing!!! After the show we went out back where we met Dale, a super nice dude even thou he looked exhausted , he happily signed my Eggnog as well as took a picture with me. I asked him if they will ever play Tommy Goes Berserk and he said no, probably not, that it was a really hard and complicated song to play and record. I met Trevor but he was busy loading the van, i stopped him quick and thanked him for the show shook his hand, he seemed really nice but was busy so i didn't want to bug him for an autograph or a picture, also i don't know why i didn't get a pic with Buzz, but i did get one with him in '08. So on the way out of the city i kinda got a little lost but once we were finally driving down the 401 (a major Ontario highway) i was just zooming along when i noticed a familiar van , it was of course the Melvins, as we drove past Buzz was driving so we stared to wave and give some thumbs up, it was pretty funny, it will be fun to meet them again tonight so they can tell how dumb we are

during the show i thought i seen a guy that looked like him but after the show could not spot him.

Also the girl beside me took lots of great pics and video , i asked her where she was from and said Lithium Magazine, so check that out for some footage , also i seen a guy with an audio recorder as well

Yeah it was nice to meet you and your friends too Flutter Nuts! If I wasn't driving I would have happily had some beers in the parking lot before the show.
