Mainly CDs and some vinyl. Have everything on CD not counting letter press reissues, no need to collect those, Ipecac versions are fine. I happen to like the jewel cases w/ liner notes. Endless Residency is the only letterpress CD set I have. I did not realize POTRE was limited and OOP from AT. I got it from them direct when it came out.

For vinyl, I have:
NWB (Ipecac, decent copy, no warpage)
H.A.T. singles
Trilogy
POTRE
The End LP (this is probably my favorite rare piece of Melvins vinyl)
Sieg Howdy w/ bonus 7"
Never Breathe...
Boss Hoss/Patton Oswald split 7" (Chunklet)
Revolve(E-tard version)/With Teeth(Live) 7"
With Yo Heart.../Anal Satan 7"

I attempted to break it all down but was getting all long winded and philosophical. So here is a condesnsed version ...

I try (and come close-ish or was anyway) to own all the releases on one format or another. Alot are just fine as the mass produced cd release. Others because of the exceptional art, sentimental connotation, complete aubsurdity, or it is the only release format I gotta go w/ the "collector" edition.

As for getting obssesive with every possible variant ... nope.

I've always dug Melvins obviously for the music; but also almost, if not equally for their aesthetic sense/presence and outlook/sense of humour. Indeed, I think it is impossible to seperate these elements from the music. They don't just compliment, or even define the sound ... but rather both feed and are fed of it.

I dig when all those elements of Melvins come together well in any medium

So then I find my "collecting" takes me all over the map. A little of this, a little of that. By no means a completist in any stream of Melvins swag. If it turns my crank then I want it.

Places it all comes together ...

All the weirdo shit ... fetous, meat, paper weight, books, ect. All pure Melvins absurdity. Awesome! I wish they did more shit like this these days.

Posters ... even with album art Melvins have always put alot of trust and/or creedence in other artists ... no more so in the various tours seris of posters. And obviously that faith is rewarded. Very cool seeing how other people "get" the Melvins.

Alot of the vinyl/music/art/absurdity:

Slims 8-track
Eggnog
Solo Records
Trilogy
Shit Sandwhich
HOF 2x7"
Your Blessend 7" (Buzz & Dale)
Nirvana split
Flipper 7"
Singles I-XII
Hurray For Me Fuk You / Paraquat Plus 12"
Endless Residency (especially Rock Is Hell test press)
TBSM wax ( especially Haze, Molly Osborne, Coop)
Sugar Daddy Splits (especially Cows, Killdozer, MidWest HC)

Shirts are probably my least fave or sought after ... though I have a good number.

Oh man, I sai condensed, right?

Hot Pants

Hah! Yours have teeth!

Don't they all?

Oh Jules unfortunately they are not mine. I passed up getting one way back when they were actually on the merch table. I now spend day after day kicking myself in the ass.

Indeed, one of my sought after items ... care to lend a hand?

I've seen one with a corn kernel inside. My paperweight has candies and either rice or some kind of seeds inside, and the smaller one (with a pin on the back to make it a brooch) has a tooth, a diode and a gold star!

You really don't see these very often, do you?  Perhaps Glen could swing it so next time Mackie makes some, she can find a use for his kidney stones. I'd buy one!

(((O)))

Yeah I got some old teeth lying around ... I've often thought "Fuck it, I'll just make my own". Mackie? I thought someone in the Minisrty camp was responsible for the production of these?

Are they yours or did they belong to someone who wasn't impressed with the cooking?   :D

I have no idea for reals. Those were just the tall tales I've heard. Can't even remember who may have whispered them in my ear?

There is at least one (perhaps more) roving dentists who frequent the Jemaa el Fna in Morrocco ... who have heaps of discarded teeth on display ... for transplants? Ewww gross, I know. Anyhow, it is a life goal of mine to buy a couple hundred and put 'em in a jar on my mantle ... as a nice knick knack.

I have yet to hit Morrocco myself ... though I've gotten close ... a buddy grabbed me a jar full, but they confiscated them at customs.

That weird enough for ya Jules?
