Had a blast at this show! Sold out crowd at the Top Hat...which is a cool little venue. Tweak Bird was amazing as always and I'm digging the new material a lot. Glad they had the new EP available. Speaking of merch..it went flying off the table tonight. There is no way they will have much left after a few more shows if they don't restock. Assholes walking around with STACKS of the letterpress issues. Happy to have snagged the Electro Retard. Melvins set list was pretty much the same. I really love their new take on a History of Drunks! Just wow! Captain Pugent and Berthas were very much appreciated...well, all of it was appreciated. Show number ten for me. Fargo next!!

What a great show! Made the trip with my boy dwr budr once again. Short 754 mile drive to Zootown. Many thanks to my brother John for hosting us for the weekend. Booze, strip club, Melvins, and some "illicits" what more can one ask for. We arrived at the Top Hat around 7. Everyone was just getting things set up. Every few minutes Buzz and Dale would walk over to the TV to check the Dodger game. Walsby was setting up all the merch. Of course the Vultures we circling before he even had everything ready. My hats of to Mr. Walsby for having to endure this for 46 more shows. So I had to tip the man as well for his troubles. Snagged the Maggot and Bootlicker on letter press. I apparently bought the last Bootlicker. Sorry folks. Also a nice Walsby poster. Waited a bit to get the Tweak Bird merch. Talked to Caleb and Ashton about a song they played with Big Biz. Just a Jam made up by Jared that progressively got longer and louder. Pretty cool guys. Hung back by the bar for Tweak Bird. Stout Performance. They played alot of the new stuff along with whorses and a few others. Once the Melvins hit that place was packed. I found it a little odd however, that the bar would allow actual glasses in the pit. A bit risky. Anyways, Eyes flys was incredible. Trevor's bass did that song justice. Pungent into Berthas was a good combo. Great to hear National Hamster. Worm Farm Waltz was one fav for me. Hooch got the crowd going.Growing Disgust into the undescribable version of A History of Drunks. At one point Dunn was on the floor playing his bass. Very Angus Young-ish, which is fitting because he looked like him, just much cooler. Holy Barbarians was almost spiritual in the way it was presented and how good it sounded. Let me roll it was a little shortened. Electric Flower was vicious. Toward the end of Freak Puke, Buzz & Dale left the stage. Dunn did a cool little Jaws segue into Shevil. Which again was a perfect closing song.

Overall, coolest lineup by far that I have encountered. All 3 of them together is a wonderful triad of musical genius. Hope everyone who has a chance to go, will go. I will be looking forward to seeing that again in a weeks time in Fargo. Long Live Melvins!
