Went to Cleveland & Pittsburgh and I must say Pittsburgh was MUCH better. Same setlist, I think "I wanna hold your gland" was a bit longer, (maybe the RX was just kicking in).
The sound in this old church turned club is amazing! The crowd was more mellow than the Cleveland clan and just enjoying the show absorbing the sounds (no complaints, IMHO the best way to enjoy Melvins).
If this club plans on staying around they must try to do something with parking (there really is none), I can't believe Ministry is playing there.

I'm off to New York City for Saturdays show!  :D

That sounds like it would have been a great show to see. I almost decided to go to the pittsburgh show instead of cleveland, now I know in the future to go there if they play at that venue. Your lucky that you get to see three melvins shows! will you be going to see them on the next tour also? Also what were you on during the show?

My wife and I have been married for 11 years (no children), since we both work full time jobs the bills manage to get paid we try to stash as much "extra" aside for our free time. In all honesty I can not begin to even think of the countless rides and trips we have made to see Melvins in our years together (Cleveland, Pittsburgh, NYC and San Francisco). I was lucky enough to have them even play seconds away from my house (Youngstown, Ohio) and believe it or not Buzz came over our house that afternoon before the show (Easter 2000)!

One of the best times was going to the San Francisco NYE "bigband" show and having Dave Scott Stone invite me to hang out afterwards, or going to see Fantomas 4 times in 2 days (the first NYC shows, at the Knitting Factory).

Outstanding artists and some of the nicest gents to talk to. Please don't get me wrong I don't want to come across as a stalker (hehehe), they just got use to seeing us at shows.

I have videotaped them a few times, you can check my page at the following address:

This is a great page, I usually only check the news section and glance the bbs, I can't believe I never posted, but usually by the time I get motivated someone else has posted it already. Oh well better late than never.

"Will you be going to see them on the next tour also?"...and the one after!

"Also what were you on during the show?"......

I also went to this show.  Totally agree about the sound.  Kevin's basswaves were louder than I think I've ever heard them.  Cool venue.   The stage barrier was an old pew.  I didn't have any parking problems, but I got there early and just parked across the street.  Saw Buzz talking on a cell phone but didn't want to interrupt him.  Great show!

The Pittsburgh show rocked.  I started writing the setlist on my hand, but it quickly disappeared as I was sweating.  Kevin's bass was the best I've ever heard it.

When Jello dove into the pit during California Uber Alles, he went down onto the floor. When he came back up, he was basically hugging me, and I got to sing the chorus with him into his mic!! A moment I'll never forget.

I did take pictures, but ran out of film before Jello came out. I'm getting them developed tomorrow, so let me know if you want them emailed to you (off the message board please).

Wow, lots of you at the show. I met Dog Tired there. Definitely a great show! I recorded and will be transferring ( to CDR ) later this week. I haven't seen the Melvins play since 1991.....so this was almost like a new experience for me. I would have liked to have heard more older material but what can you say. The stuff w/ Biafra was cool, 2 new songs and 2 DK chestnuts. That last one was " Moon Over Marin " if anyone didn't know.
Took some pics but don't know how good they are, I was back in the over 21 side....lots of audience heads in my viewfinder :(

Looks like this will turn out to be 2 discs long w/ the Biafra stuff on a seperate disc from the rest of the show. After they played " Moon Over Marin " Buzz and Kevin did a kinda Hendrix " Star Spangled Banner " that segued into Mary Had a Little Lamb before the Britney Spears came on. I don't want to transfer it on the full Melvins cd and have it run out of time and lose any of this.

Dog Tired

YEAH!

That was crazy man, I was checkin out merch and all of sudden I heard you.  By the way that was my sis with me.

The show was the almighty great show!

Did anyone see me?  I was probably the youngest kid there with a pentagram (the band) t shirt on.

And did anyone see the amish guy and when the first pit started on bar x getting thrown across the room?

Dog Tired

By the way that 1990 boot kicks ass man!
