Joyful Noise Recordings' Flexi Disc Series will return in 2013 with new music by Built to Spill and Helvetia, the Melvins, WHY?, the Sea and Cake, and more. For the second annual edition of their monthly vinyl club, Joyful Noise has also booked Birthmark, Here We Go Magic, Hella, Kishi Bashi, Mike Adams at His Honest Weight, Monotonix, Rob Crow, and Son Lux. Subscribers will get a total of twelve previously unreleased flexi discs — one from each artist — for every month in 2013. A subscription to the series costs $5 per month (plus postage), but fans can upgrade to a "deluxe" subscription for an additional one-time fee of $30. The extra cash will get you a hand-numbered, screen-printed wooden box set designed for these recordings, featuring new artwork by Mackie Osborne. Each disc is limited to 1,000 copies and is exclusive to this series (there won't be digital versions of any of these songs).

Boy, am I getting sick of "limited edition, hand numbered, screen printed boxes" I have so many of them I only have enuff room for a little cot to sleep on, that and my vast collection of "limited edition, hand printed, screen printed boxes" by some by well known artistes.I might add. Gimme a friggin break already,,,Alfunso

Boo-frickity-hoo you got no room because of all your Crap..oh wait, you HAD to be Sarcastically joking right... :o

Yay Flexies!!!

Turntable Toilet paper!

Flutter I would be more than happy to dub you cassette comps of your Flexies, putting them all on tape is pretty much the most convieniant way to play them all without mucking around with your Record player approx every 3 minutes.

less risk of you breaking your Turntable as you know, and the tapes I can make sound phenominally Better than the Vinyl itself even!

if you dont believe me, more the reason for me to prove it to you!!!

Cassette tape---Flexis

Like peas and carrots man!!!

Thanks man, just ordered mine!

QuoteA Statement About Exclusivity: Each flexi disc features an exclusive RECORDING, not necessarily an exclusively-written piece of music. Remixes, live adaptations, and demos are considered exclusive, provided the recording is significantly different than the original release.  So don't get all bent out of shape if Melvins end up releasing a badass medley of Night Goat and It's Shoved or something.

Mine came in the mail yesterday :D For just being a flexi it's actually pretty decent. Nice box too, actually really nice. The first flexi was by some band called Here We Go Magic and the song is a dance pop kind of thing, pretty catchy. So yeah, if you ordered the box you should have it either now or pretty soon.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.
