Guys, no discussions about sharing digital copies of in-print records, please.

I know most of you buy the records, but especially in this case we are talking about a non-limited release that is easy to obtain.

I will ban/delete people whose major focus of activity on this board is sharing copies of records/CDs that can be purchased. One person is already gone as of this morning.

If you want to make a copy of a record YOU OWN, that is your right. It is inevitable that this will be floating around, but it's not the function of this message board to disseminate it.

Has there been any talk of a site to host mp3's of Melvins?  For the band to sell i mean.
i remember when the Endless Residency cd's came out Haze had set up a page to download from the old shop, i think you guys would still sell a ton of records plus lots of digital. I will always buy physical copies and would also pay for mp3's for the convenience.

someone that posted a request for this album in digital form several times. Looking back at his posts, his primary activity was leeching mp3s. I don't recall the username - something that started with "J".

So does Third Man Records own the rights to these recordings or does the band, i'm not sure how it all works. If you guys wanted to release the digital would you have to go through them or can the band do whatever you want with them?

My guess is that it's very unlikely for this to be released in digital form in the foreseeable future - it JUST came out, is cheap, and readily available.

Don't worry - Melvins are hard at work making more music for everyone. Tons more on the horizon.
