What exactly is New Wave of British Heavy Metal falsetto? Can someone please name the bands the author is refering to?

It's a good song to be sure.

Here's where IMO it would rank:

1) Dr. Mule
2) Pig Skin/Starve Already
3) Smash the State
4) Paraquat
5) Thank you/ Saved Message
6) Shit Sandwich

there's a sass factor added.

It is different. And weird.  And really good.  I fucking LOVE this song.

anaconda

I rank American Cow almost as high, I love that woozy seasick lead going
on intermittently. Both these tunes are a great development.

Agreed. It's all gooooood.   :D

perzo)))

i find nothing wrong with anything this band has ever done.
maybe 1 song off of houdini but thats it.
Again,a gorgeous tragedy approaches,in the wake of those thought contained. But sonic reverberations shake the very marrow of the fragile chamber of mans lifeforce, and again the minions quiver in fear,as daylight fails to come, and Melvins walk the battlefield, bored and hungry...

deatheats

Dillard has probably gotten a bit of his Melvins groove back after being out of the band for so long...slowly but surely the Melvinsyness oozes back in.

roman.pig.iron

where are we hearing American Cow?

Well as I said, hope we hear some more of it ... wasn't over the moon 'bout the '83 stuff thus far ... it was good ... but didn't flip my wig or anything. But these last couple ... especially "American Cow" are pretty damn sweet. So yeah, hope they keep 'em coming.

same here. just listened to both and like them a lot on the first listen. '83 is getting good!
