So will "Tres Cabrones" include the new "Gaylord" tracks, plus  the 4 songs from last year's EP - Psycho-delic Haze/Stick 'Em Up Bitch/Stump Farmer/Walter's Lips, or are we talking all exclusive "new" material. Either way this disc is going to rule.

I think originally Gaylord was supposed to be on CD also, but now is vinyl only? Makes sense if the tracks will come out later through Ipecac on a regular CD. I prefer that and not these uber-limited AmRep releases that sell out online in 20 minutes.

Actually, the translation of "cabrones" changes depending on the country and the context.

Cabrón: single
Cabrones: plural

Cabrón could mean:

-someone who is a total badass
-someone who is very good at what he does
-a bastard
-in Chile, historically a cabrón or cafiche was the boss of a brothel, a pimp.

I have always thought it to mean: total badass!  At least to Mexicans.  It's not used much in Spain...

my guess is: the 4 song 10" from last year, gaylord 7", dr. mule (from scion comp).
but not american cow from bash 10" (i think i read that all bash 10" songs will remain exclusive for the 10" / bash CD only).
maybe they have a few unreleased 1983 tracks which will be exclusive to the tres cabrones CD?

I think you're pretty close.  There is some stuff that was recorded that has not been released yet, so I would expect to see some of it on this album.

Melvins ya tiene su nuevo disco en las puertas del horno para ser lanzado a través de Ipecac Recording. Así es, la placa de título "Tres Cabrones" tiene fecha de estreno para este próximo 5 de Noviembre en la etiqueta de Werckman/Patton, la que contará con un listado de 12 nuevas composiciones.

La novedad que trae esta placa es la interesante adición de su primer baterista Mike Dillard (con quien ya estuvieron en un par de presentaciones en vivo durante 2009) y quien fuese reemplazado por Dale Crover por allá en el '84. Buzz Osborne comenta al respecto: "Tres Cabrones es lo más cerca que estamos dispuestos a llegar a la alineación de Melvins del '83. Lo mejor de esto es que todas las canciones son nuevas. Escribí específicamente canciones que serían buenas para que estos tipos las toquen, y funcionó de maravilla. No teníamos interés de grabar temas añejos escritos hace 30 años, y en su lugar simplemente creamos material nuevo... y funcionó a la perfección"

En tanto, con esta inclusión de Dillard en la batería, Dale Crover dio paso para oficiar de bajista en las sesiones de grabación de este nuevo material... dando una nueva muestra en este formato poco usual, que transformará -sin dudas- a esta placa en material obligado para los que seguimos el actuar de King Buzzo y compañía.

Recordamos que Melvins se encuentran de gira durante todo este mes de Agosto por los Estados Unidos, celebrando su 30° Aniversario, y nos mantenemos alerta a las actualizaciones que puedan liberar muestras en audio así como también el tracklist de la nueva placa.

Melvins already have their new record almost at the gates of the oven for its release through Ipecac Recordings. That's it, the new record titled "Tres Cabrones" has its release date for November the 5th at the label of Werckman/Patton, which will feature a tracklist of 12 new compositions.

The novelty of this album is the interesting addition of their first dummer ever Mike Dillard (who already played with the band in a couple of shows during 2009) that was replaced by Dale Crover circa 1984. Buzz Osborne talks about it: "Tres Cabrones is the closest thing we are willing to do in order to reach the original Melvins line-up from '83. The best thing about this is that all the songs are brand new. I specifically wrote songs that would be good for these guys to play. We didn't have any interest to record old tunes written 30 years ago so we wrote new material instead... and it worked out perfectly".

Meanwhile, with the inclusion of Dillard back on the drums, Dale Crover officiated his way [I think this is the way you would say it] as a bass player during the recording sessions of this new material... showing a new display in this rather unusual format, which will convert -undoubtedly- this album in a mandatory one for us, followers of King Buzzo & Co.

We remember you that Melvins are on tour during this whole month of August on the US, celebrating their 30th Anniversary, so we are keeping alert to all the shows with audio samples or leaks available as with the titles of the tracklist of their forthcoming album too.
