No merch. Fence set up is this a Rancid show

I installed a ceiling fan while in DC, I needed a screw and went to Ace Hardware in Friendship Heights, spent a buck fifty on three cent screw, Ace is the bottom floor of a ten floor apt building. That's life in the District,

I guess i'll get the poster on line.

Will there be a Dead Mike sighting?
I thought I saw you, but I wasn't sure and I didn't want to be the guy to approach a stranger with "duuhurrrr, i know u from teh internetz!"

I was pissed about the no-merch situation. Had they sold out for this tour, or what?

To use the merch area at 930 is 40 percent.

I have seen stuff being sold in the parking lot, for example, at other shows. Now I'm beginning to understand why.

Grayfro

Hell, why don't bands just sell merch from a truck outside the gig? It would solve the area problem in the venue and allow people to buy things and stash them before the show.

Highway robbery.
Yeah, that's batshit. But it would explain Pinkus's laughingly encouraging the crowd to check out the merch table at the end of the Honky set. People were yelling, "Where is it??" Pinkus: *silence*

If I recall, there was merch the last time I saw the melvins at 930, on the Isis tour a few years ago. The management must have thought they could extract a bigger cut this time around. If so, fuck them.

GrimReaper

The last time I was in the new 9:30, Lanegan used the area and it turned out to be the most interaction you will get with that dude. Pictures, autographs, talk about anything with no fists flying.

And there was a 9:30 employee selling everything.

That set up doesn't work with the road show the Melvins have going. It's a business decision and the Melvins entourage chose not to use 9:30 merch area.

I will buy DC posters for anyone who wants one in Seattle. PM me.
