The guy that did the artwork for GPT

I remember reading the liner notes in Gluey Porch Treatments (the Ipecac re-mastered edition), and Buzz said that the guy that did the artwork or whatever (who was talking about the "high price of color printing") was a major speed addict, and noone knows whatever happened to him.  Pretty weird, anyone have any guesses?
