Rest of 2004 Tour Dates Cancelled

We are very sorry to say, but due to an illness in the band the Melvins have cancelled all of their scheduled dates for the rest of the year. We are hoping that the shows will be able to be rescheduled in the future and the band sincerely apologizes for any incvonvenience caused by this unforseen circumstance. Knowing the Melvins like we do, we have no doubt that they will return stronger than ever. Thanks for your support and understanding

Sounds like someone's either really sick or out of the band.  Cancelling the rest of the year?  Thats a long time and a lot of shows.  I've got a bad feeling about this.

Yeh, if someone's so ill that they have to cancel the rest of the year, then they're either really ill or there has been a fuck up in the band. This sucks.

well this sux. I just got a call from Tickets.com where I had purchased my Melvins tix for the SF show.

They informed me they would be refunding me the ticket price, but not the service (convienience fee) that they assessed when I bought the tickets.

So, I lose $12 and get no show.    That'll teach me to buy in advance, I guess.

I hope that whomever is affected by the illness gets well, because the Melvins are probably my favorite band.

If it's Kevin that is ill, I wish they'd call me. I play bass and know practically everything they do. I'd gladly sit in for him until he gets better.

I am the one who was at this show in Louisville where it looked like Kevin was messed up and doing odd things like stumbling and falling down quite a bit. There were points where he wasn't even playing bass. Some other poster named rjr was there too and said a friend of his thought Kevin may have urinated on himself, but then someone replied that Kevin (and this is odd), would put bottled water down his robe and feign that he was urinating at some other show. Now, I am not saying that whatever is going on has to do with Kevin, but it seems strangely coincidental. Something was wrong with him that night because if it was just an act, I don't think Buzz would be looking over at him in what looked like to me as a "whats going on" kind of way.
