I luv this shit and have for years now.  Let's not forget that Buzz introduced Dave to Kurt and recommended Dave to play drums for Nirvana.  In my opinion Dave should be forever grateful to Buzz.  Apparently Dave got all butt hurt when Buzz and Dale slammed Foo Fighters when it first came out.  Dave had probably 10 million fucking dollars in the bank and he could have done anything musically he wanted to do but instead Dave decided to follow that Nirvana song writing 'formula' and gobble up as much of the Nirvana fan base he could to make 100's of million$.  I thought the first album was ok and I kinda like 'My Hero' (obviously about Dale while lifting the Night Goat drum beat) and 'Everlong' but after that is was pure Poopville.  Great drummer but as a band leader and lead singer the guy is a huge calculated poser.  Straight from the RocknRoll 101 handbook.  Can't wait for the next chapter of this saga!   

Considering all the musicians pissing and moaning about how they can't make money selling records Grohl sounds pretty smart to me. The more everyone hates him the more it makes me want to like him. Maybe of I'll check out his music sometime

That video is hilarious. I love Grohl. I'm saying this not owning anything he's done but as a person, I think he is pretty smart actually and he's funny as hell. He seems like a pretty grounded dude and I bet he's a blast to hang out with. I mean I don't know him personally but to me he seems like a decent person.

I think that's what I like the most about him. He doesn't come across as somebody who takes themselves too seriously.

In grohls defense, after all the shit buzz has said about him, Dave's never said a bad thing about buzz, and still shows gratitude to him when his influences come up. Quite frankly, they kinda need to give it a break. Buzz sounds more butthurt than Dave really.

Well, I guess it's quite obvious that writing POP songs is the only way to go.  It's "smart" and very lucrative!!!  This is a popularity contest for crying out loud!  Oh the hate!  Where is the integrity?

Buzzo once said the older he gets, the more he looks like an old woman - and that made him happy. A stark contrast to most, if not, all musicians and celebrities out there.

He is my hero when I start to get a little self conscious and worry about my own little fashion choices.

I caught the last 40 minutes of Sonique hIWAYS, last night.
It was about L.A.-The Germs, The Runaways, Rodney On The ROQ, As well as Palm Desert, Kyuss, Rancho De Luna.....
It was interesting and entertaining, but or coarse, I was watching it with the volume almost all the way off and the CC on. The song at the end was pure shite. Dave was likeable, but I still want as little to do with him as possible.

I always liked Dave, he does seem different now than how he was before and during his time in nirvana. I'd have to meet him to know. Check out this poster brian drew! I only had $13 but he still let me buy this, I need to thank him again at another show. He said to just get this poster out of his sight then laughed. It got me wondering what would have happened to Melvins if he had joined them as a second drummer (like Coady did) which Buzz suggested to him back when Nirvana ended. Would Melvins have got a hell of a lot bigger off the media attention and name or would their careers continued as they have done.
