Same here, I just figured he could add something very special from that era of the band.
From what we've gotten to see now, it seems a little heavy on the post-2000 era.
But that's just me guessing, who knows what will happen between now and sometime in 2015. Hell, Lukin might even show up.

Also, is the old guy on one of those pics Melvin?

Lukin is the cancer patient looking guy in the slides. He will be in the film.

I remember at least two cartoons featuring those dogs. Don't forget that always at the end the big dog is the wimp and the little dog acts like a total boss.
