Holy fuck a Canadian date!!!! I hope there are some just Nelvins shows. There are some decent bands on that bill but I hate fests
I got the shits real bad.

I like how that one says: RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE tribute
Same with Op Ivy, kinda weird since Rancid are playing

As awesome as it is to have the Melvins play a Canadian date, I hope that they'll string a couple dates because I have very little interest in attending that festival. I think this is the third or fourth year for this festival and previous years have bordered on disasters. They're known for being rather poorly organized festival. The founder of this festival is a rich kid douche asshole who has made opening bands pay for shows and forced them to cancel any and all shows they have months prior to and following the festival.

This is also a camping style festival which is just utterly lame.

French article covering last year's festival claiming they've improved logistics and treatment of local bands : http://ici.radio-canada.ca/regions/ottawa/2014/06/22/004-rockfest-montebello-bilan.shtml

Heavy Montreal is scheduled for a week or so after this festival and FNM is the major headliner, I'm hoping the Melvins also play this fest and/or play a club show in Montreal.

Flutter Nuts is dreaming the Melvins plan a tour around the show in Canada:

June 18-21, 2015 - Montebello, QC, Canada (Amnesia Rockfest)

That may be worth a road trip. I just hope the 2015 Tour dates are out soon.

I'll go ahead and take all assuming liberties on a related Midwest tour and stop in beautiful downtown Detroit.

I read that Canada somewhat recently ditched that extra taxation stuff they were doing for non-canadian touring bands that played clubs and smaller venues so hopefully the Melvins can get up there more often now, maybe set up a week long tour of Nunavut localities to appease the patient Inuit fans
