Pappy and Harriets is badass. You probably won't "see" the Melvins, but you will hear them and enjoy some great ribs before the show! (The stage is really really really low). I saw the Melvins last time they played there - I opted for sitting outside where you could hear them perfectly - in the desert - under the black sky. Fucking ruled.

Alright dutchies, I need your help regarding the Tilburg shows:

1. How far is it from Amsterdam (I understand about an hour and a half by car?)
2. Is it worth sleeping in Tilburg on both nights? is there anything else to do there?
3. When is the last train at night to Amsterdam?
4. How's the camping ground (if anyone's been before?)
5. How cold does it get in mid Sept? what are the temps?
6. Any decent and relatively cheap accommodation around Tilburg itself?
7/ Who is going to the shows?

1. How far is it from Amsterdam (I understand about an hour and a half by car?) It's an hour and half by car and by train.
2. Is it worth sleeping in Tilburg on both nights? is there anything else to do there? It's not known what time Melvins will play, maybe there are more bands to see in the same venue or an other venue. The festival uses multiple venues and bars. Most of these other places bands are playing are near the Midi, the venue Melvins will be playing. There is a hotel in the same street as the Midi venue. In this hotel there are also playing bands in the basement. No idea if Incubate will let anything play there on the days Melvins are playing though. Incubate  mostly has an exposistion(s) too if that interests you. Also a film program and debates but never attended that myself. I've never really visited Tilburg for anything else then gigs and Incubate, I can't really tell you if it's worth staying. If Incubate has enough other things planned these days that you find interesting it probably is worth it.
3. When is the last train at night to Amsterdam? Around 23:30, 23:45. After that it's still possible but you have to travel for like three hours. Just use this, they also have an app for your smart Phone, very simple to use: http://9292.nl/en#
4. How's the camping ground (if anyone's been before?) Never been there.
5. How cold does it get in mid Sept? what are the temps? around 15, 20 degrees celcius.
6. Any decent and relatively cheap accommodation around Tilburg itself? I've never stayed a night in Tilburg. The hotel I mentioned is named City Hotel, 2 min walk from the venue.
