Is Minneapolis ever going to get a non-fest/non-Grumpy's show again? Probably not, right?

Ugh. I don't wanna get started but I feel your frustration. It's fucking annoying but at least it's pretty much guaranteed we'll see them once a year. The shortened set angers me but whatever. It's better than no set at all and I pretty much have to remind myself that every year. :? It would be nice if they did more indoor shows though. That parking lot (or the majority of all outdoor shows) sounds like shit.

Quit yer bitchin, you got to see Cowz for the last time ever  :)

True! Although I have to admit The Cowz were the band I was least interested in seeing. Don't get me wrong, I love listening to the Cows but having to watch Shannon try and rehash shit that might've been cool in the 90's. Mousetraps on the earlobes YAWN...No thanks.
You're right though, I got to see Le Butcherettes, who imo stole the show. Oh and Run Westy Run who were awful. Hammerhead and GWA are always a treat, but none of it tops "Your Blessened" live. The last time I saw a full Melvins set was during the 51/51. Sorry, it's just getting old.
Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread so carry on.

This is my sentiment exactly. And that parking lot does sound like shit.

The only time I ever saw the Melvins outdoors was the best sounding show I ever saw by them. But it was in a heavy industrial area. Not a lot of buildings for the sound to build up against. I miss shows like that. Everything has changed here with smoking bans and stricter enforcement of all ages shows. No one wants to operate like that.  :?
