Oh yeah I forgot to mention....

Over the Electric Grapevine has got be one of the greatest rock songs ever written

Yeah, it's pretty good. Saw them do it live last 3 times I saw them. It's almost a staple now. I wish they'd bring back "On The Tweek Again". Now there's a fucking killer song from Punchbowl.

I hope this doesn't turn into a herb v. brain thread...
But I miss brain too. Herb is god.

I've seen them once in Ft. Worth 2006. They didnt play Grapevine but they played Shake Hands w/ Beef. It was the first time they played Brown albums song with Tim. And On The Tweek Again is another Primus staple period.

Nah, you must be thinking of "Those Damn Blue Collar Tweekers" from Seas Of Cheese which is played about every other show, and is indeed a classic. Tweek Again and Year Of The Parrot are the two from Punchbowl that never get played. I'm not counting the interlude/cartoon pieces like Space Farm or Hellbound 17-1/2.

I meant Tweek Again but staple in a sense that grasps Primus' sound. My fault.

Was that at the cattle auction theater? I was there, that shitty drums and tuba band played.

Primus sucked. I was really let down by that show.

The opening band was fucked.
The venue was fucked.
Primus was fucked.

Can you believe they didn't let anyone leave the aisle, you had to stand at your seat the entire time? They kicked two guys out who start dancing in the aisle to John the Fisherman...

Can we talk about this postcard from when the Melvins opened for Rush on some of their Counterparts tour:

My favorite thing about Melvins is the goofy personality | These guys suck and Buzz is a pretentious hipster dork | This sounds nothing like Metallica. | Dales Dad was a drum, its in his blood. | King Buzzo's hair probably holds a lotta secrets | what the fuck is a stee? | Melvins as a way of life

I'm still so pissed I had to see Mr Big in '92 and Candlebox in '94 as he openers.
When I could have seen these legendary lineups. I actually missed all of Mr Big that year,
but they also opened for them in '90. What I wouldn't give to see all three, Primus, Melvins, Rush. That would be the ultimate.

Yeah, I was smoking weed in the parking lot.  :toke:
I was cracking up at my buddies. They yelled at me "we actually want to see Mr Big!".
I said go right ahead, then. And stayed on my car and got stoned.
Roll The Bones tour pretty much blew, except it was the first time I saw them outside and it sounded way better than the colosseum.

Howard Stern had the creator of the "Jump The Shark" hypothesis, whatever you would call it on his show.
They took calls from listeners, with questions and suggestions of things in pop culture, regarding whether they had "jumped the shark", or not.
A caller asked if Primus had jumped. Howard answered (without even asking the jump the shark guy, next to him) "How could they? No one has ever heard of them."
