Yeah, pork Soda was one of the first Cds I ever bought as a kid.

I had a room mate that was really a Primus fan, I went to a couple of shows in 2000, maybe 2002.  Didn't care for them.  I've heard a lot of their cd's due to a coworker being a fan, again, not impressed.

One of the best supports I've ever seen was Primus. I can't remember who they were supporting, either Mudhoney or Nirvana. I was sitting on the floor of the venue near the front talking to girlfriend and expected to be sitting on the floor for a lot longer. Suddenly Primus appeared. I had no idea who this band was. They blew my socks off. We were on our feet in seconds.

Best support surprise ever, I think.

For what it's worth, I have Suck, Frizzle and Cheese on vinyl, but it's Brown I play the most. Haven't listened to anything since Brown. Would have loved to have seen them supporting Melvins. Did that happen?

*edit*  Maybe they were support for Janes Addiction. That's starting to ring bells.

I like jam Primus. Punchbowl is their second best album to Pork Soda.

I consider the Brown album up there with Zep II.

Its STILL one of the best albums ever put out by any band ever.

Brown album is about the only one I listen to anymore.

The Chocolate Factory one is atrocious.

It's All about Ler, anyway.

glen

the brown album... what the hell is wrong with you people?

if they put Blue Collar Tweakers... DMV...  Too Many Puppies and Nature Boy on it you might have a half a case.

Brown Tour fall '97 was my first Primus show, and that probably stands out as the best in over a dozen throughout the years. I got into them around Pork Soda, saw the Woodstock '94 show live on PPV. I had the chance and missed when the Punchbowl tour came around. Was surprised & bummed when Herb left. Didn't know what to expect from this new guy Brain, but he was perfect with them. Not that I'm hoping Herb leaves again, but would love to see Brain somehow back into the Primus world again.

I hope this doesn't turn into a herb v. brain thread...
But I miss brain too. Herb is god.
