I think a lot of people don't understand that Buzz is often sarcastic, not bitter, when talking about Nirvana.  Dale's take sounds a lot more friendly and down to earth to people aren't familiar with The Melvins.  I'm sure Nirvana fans will take Dale's take seriously instead of calling him a jealous prick.

What did you guys think of the movie?  I thought it was done really well, and these sidebar stories that maybe are or aren't true, don't detract from the overall theme of the movie.  Weird how Buzz was mentioned for like 5 seconds and the Melvins are never mentioned by name.  I'm sure Buzz and Kurt had some fucked up times together, I mean he was trying to emulate Buzz, yet the Melvins are not discussed.  Clearly Buzz is very interested as he watched the film 2 times and then wrote his opinion.  Must be some emotions there still on both sides.  Courtney Love certainly came off like the talentless piece of shit she is.

Pretty much agree with everything you wrote, and also trust Buzz's recollections far more than what was presented in the film.
