I just had another listen to that section of the interview and i think you're right. Im pretty sure it was "Steve McDonald plays some extravagant bass a la McCartney". So no Paul. Sorry for providing exciting, yet ultimately incorrect info guys.

This makes sense - Steven McDonald is a total reincarnation of Sir Paul on the bass.

And this gets me closer to my dream of "MELVINS KROSS" with Buzz, Dale and Steven & Jeff McDonald as a super group. It just NEEDS TO HAPPEN!

That's a nice lineup, but I'd love Melvins OFF! Buzz, Dale, Keith, Steven McDonald, Dimitri Coats, and maybe Mario Rubalcaba- Buzz and Keith trading vocals like FLAG with Keith and Dez...

I would also settle for more Jelvins

im excited for krist novoselic! im honestly kinda surprised he never played bass for them. i mean im also not, but still it wouldve been cool. maybe its one of those "dont do business with family" sorta things
