Humongous show. Could not be happier that Bloated Pope is in the set. Your Blessened was monstrous.  Teri comin in at the end surprised some people, including me. Gotta love a mega-high-energy closer.

After all this time some might take the double-drummer assault for granted, but man is it really something special to behold. 

Observatory is a quality venue. Good sound, comfortable sight lines, relaxed security, multiple bars. Shame it's all the way down in dreaded Orange County.

It occurred to me during the set that it's almost exactly 20 years since my first Melvins show. Summer '95 at Electric Lounge in Austin. I bought a beer and toasted myself.

I'm generally not crazy about all ages shows. but it warmed my heart to see soooo many youngsters rocking the fuck out. Melvins span generations.
